Skyline Retail REIT has entered the province of Newfoundland and Labrador with a retail plaza purchase in the town of Paradise, within the St. John’s metropolitan area. On November 28, 2025, the REIT purchased 1641 Topsail Road, a dominant, grocery-anchored retail plaza within central Paradise. The property is 100% leased to 10 tenants. Construction of a new No Frills grocery store is currently underway, with the opening anticipated for September 2026. “Skyline Retail REIT is excited to mark its entry into Atlantic Canada with the purchase of Paradise Plaza at 1641 Topsail Road,” said Craig Leslie, President, Skyline Retail REIT. “The town of Paradise is one of Atlantic Canada’s fastest-growing municipalities with a population growth of 7.3% over a five-year period as per the most recent census.
