On June 2nd, 2016, the Skyline Retail REIT acquired a multi-tenant retail plaza property at 515-653 Grand Avenue West in Chatham, Ontario. Purchased for $25M, the plaza consists of 177,366 square feet of retail space, and includes Canadian Tire, Scotiabank and Sportchek as anchor tenants. The plaza sits beside Skyline Retail REIT’s additional retail plaza property at 455-485 Grand Avenue West, which includes a Shoppers Drug Mart and an A&W restaurant.
The Skyline Retail REIT now comprises 51 properties in 36 Ontario communities, with nearly 1.7 million square feet of retail space.
