On Thursday, November 24th, 2016, the Skyline Retail REIT purchased its first retail property in the town of Strathroy, ON (just west of London, ON). The 19,734 square foot retail complex at 70 Carroll Street East is occupied by anchor tenants such as Dollarama, LCBO, and Ardene. It was purchased for $4.8M. Although Strathroy is a new community for the Retail REIT, Skyline has owned and managed a multi-residential property in the town at 191 & 1293 Hull Road since 2014.
Post-acquisition, the Skyline Retail REIT comprises 55 properties in 37 Ontario communities, with more than 1.7 square feet of retail commercial space.
